The Vine
A desire to know God better, meet new people, and learn what it means to live a life with Him.
The Vine is a youth group for ages 17 and up that meets twice a month, where we build friendships, worship God, and receive input from different speakers. gIt started with a simple goal: to grow closer to God and let Him shape us to be more like Jesus, the true Vine. Like it says in John 15:
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”
We believe The Vine is more than just a group—it’s a movement. It’s a space where you can learn what being a Christian means in today’s world, discover the power of the Holy Spirit, and form friendships that last. And here’s the best part: come as you are.
What we're about:
Community
We want to be a home where we are connected with one another and where everyone is seen. We believe that through friendship we can go deeper in following Jesus. Everyone has something to share, and we want to make space for that. – 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
Connecting
We believe that everyone can hear God’s voice. This deepens our relationship with Him and with others. It helps us to bear more fruit and to know God better. – Jeremiah 33:3, John 15:5
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, the truth about God and the world. We encourage a lifestyle in which the Bible continues to speak and shape our lives. – 2 Timothy 3:16
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer. God knows what we need; through prayer we encourage one another and ask for God’s perspective. – Matthew 6:8, 10:8
Discipelship
We believe that God calls everyone and that the Holy Spirit empowers us to follow in His footsteps. We see the potential in the next generation, and it is our desire to help young people take new steps forward. – 1 Peter 2:21, John 15
Our story
The vine started in august 2023 when God spoke about a new group for the Youth. It all started with a small group of 8 young guys and girls, and quickly grew into a group of 25 people. First, the name of the group, was 'the Called' but quickly changed into 'The Vine' since the verse John 15 came back several times which talks about 'the Vine'. The focus stayed the same: to give space for God to move in the hearts and lives of the Youth.
