Upcoming Dates

Bible study Kings - Open days Bible For Life

1 & 2 Kings

These books tell the story of the kings of Judah and Israel; what they did right, but more often what they did wrong. These are long books, and need some perseverance to read as a whole. They are familiar to Chronicles I & II, but yet there is a difference.

During the studies we will find answers on questions like; why do we call these books “historical” while the Jews collect them as Early Prophets? You will develop a different perspective on these books during these Open Days; it will make them relevant in a surprising way.

During lectures there will be opportunity to ask questions, to discover more and for fellowship. We start right after the Dutch Kingsday celebrations; will you join us?

Tuesday April 30 – Friaday May 3, 2019

Fees: €120 including housing and meals, €80 excluding housing

For students and minima: €97.50 including housing and meals, €65 excluding housing

Bible study Job - Open days Bible For Life

Wisdom books: Job Wisdom in your pocket?

Why is the world the way she is? Why are so many terrible things happening? We often say that “knowing yourself is the beginning of wisdom”, but does that truly help us finding answers to the big questions of life? The Bible holds some books that are called Wisdom Literature. During the Open Week of the Bible For Life (a Bible study training of Youth with a Mission) we will search to find what the Bible considers to be wisdom and how that can help us finding answers to big questions. You will be given an introduction on Wisdom Literature and after that we will study the book of Job more in depth.

It will be inspiring days, training you to ask questions to the biblical text. In the breaks you combine good fellowship with students and teachers with discussing about what has been explained and discovered during the lecture.

Who would not want to find true wisdom? Join us for the Open Days at Heidebeek and get enriched!

Revelation; scaring or encouraging?

So much has been said already and probably not yet the last; the book of Revelation. We find many strange metaphors and passages and that can frighten us. But was that what the author intended to achieve? Read this book with professional guidance and see what conclusions you will find for yourself. Maybe you will grow to love the book; maybe it will release you of any fear for the end of times.

Take on this challenge of this book during the Open Days of the Bible for Life at Heidebeek.

Wednesday June 19 till Thursday June 21, 2019

Fees: €97.50 including housing and meals, €67.50 excluding housing

For students and minima: €75 including housing and meals, €52.50 excluding housing

What does an Open Day look like?

In the morning an experienced teacher will introduce the book you are studying. They will provide the tools that help you to understand and apply it. Next to that we also participate in the prayer and worship times of Heidebeek.

We’ll enjoy a great lunch together and in the afternoon you get the opportunity to dig in the book yourself. Through a variety of excercises we help you to get an overview of the book.
