We’re grateful to announce the very first storytelling seminar to be held here at Heidebeek, organized by Karin Weber of the Biblical Studies Department. Here’s some info:
We will learn how to use a story plus personal testimony for witnessing to others and will go out and practice this. We will work through a story set that can be utilized for evangelism or discipleship or church planting. During this process each person will learn how to craft and tell a story. We will also talk about other aspects of storying such as how to choose and tell a story according to the situation. We will spend a good bit of time talking about how oral communicators learn.
The seminar will be taught by Annette Hall. She has served with the International Mission Board, SBC, in the Middle East and in Europe for over 35 years. Since 1994, she has been involved with storying the Bible and training others to story the Bible. For the past 4 years, she has directed the OneStory project for Northern Africa and Western Europe. In addition to managing this program, she trains in orality and storying and in church planting movements. She also trains people in how to use a program called Storying Training For Trainers.
The seminar will be held in English.
