In Short
You are all called to be an ambassador of Jesus and to be a light in your community. The School Of Evangelism (SOE) will inspire, equip and release you to do this.
During six months of practical training we will help you to find and take your place in God’s plan to bring hope to Europe. During the lecture phase of three months we will go through subjects like the gospel, how to disciple others, how to start home groups, the spiritual situation of Europe & Islam, Leadership & Pioneering and Healing & Deliverance. After which you will go on outreach in Europe.
Being part of the Evangelism Center at Heidebeek we provide regular outreach opportunities such as: local youth work, starting & leading home groups and street & campaign evangelism. In this way you can put in practice the things you learned.
You will also receive coaching to develop a plan of action for your community. This will help you to get started after the school in your own community or with the Evangelism Center.
Lecture Phase
Hearing & Doing
We believe in hearing and doing, so that is how the lecture phase is shaped. Each subject will have a practical focus helping you to apply what you hear. To help you do this there will be small-group discussions and one-to-one coaching. There will also be a number of action moments throughout each week during which you can tryout new things and discover your gifts and talents.
Local Outreaches
You will join in with existing activities of the Evangelism Center in and around the local villages of Epe and Heerde, such as local youth work, regular street evangelism, monthly celebrations and cell groups. There may also be an opportunity to run introduction courses for seekers or young believers.
We also encourage everyone to find other activities to get involved in which enable them to share their faith.
Mid term outreaches
Every now and again we will take a break from lectures and go out for a week or two. Planned outreaches include working with The God Story in Belgium – giving you an opportunity to experience campaign-style evangelism – and a Christmas outreach somewhere in Europe.
You will also go on a Faith Week, where you go out for a week simply hearing God and doing what He says. During this time you are encouraged to not bring any finances or make arrangements for transport or accommodation in advance. Experience shows us that God is faithful and full of surprises!

Outreach Phase
Once the lecture phase is completed you will go in small teams into Europe to work with local contacts in a pioneering setting. The school staff will determine the outreach locations for this two-month adventure, however unlike the DTS this time no staff will join you. Instead you will be coached to create your own outreach and structure your time.
During your outreach we will stay in contact with you through Skype, phone and email to coach and encourage you on your way. Being the adventurous and curious people we are, we won’t be able to resist the temptation to visit you. So we will come and see what you are up to and how God is working through you, we may even join in the fun!
Bringing Hope to Europe
The focus of the outreach is to bring hope to Europe. This means lots and lots of evangelism, building relationships, serving people and bringing them closer to Jesus. At the end you may find that your heart has grown so close to the people you will meet that you want to return there to stay long-term. If that is the case, we will be there to help you on your way and coach you as you go!
