King's Kids
King’s Kids International is part of Youth with a Mission worldwide. King’s Kids The Netherlands has two operation locations: on the Youth with a Mission base in Heerde and in Amsterdam.
Goal
We want to give children, teenagers and families from different continents the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of God and their experience with God, by helping them to fulfill the consignment command of Jesus Christ. We want to do this in association with the families and the local churches.

Values and Principles
King’s Kids works internationally with the same principles. These principles are based on biblical values and come from the Word of God. Our activities are set up from our values and ín our activities we teach both the teenagers and the staff to live up those principles. The difference between the values of YWAM and King’s Kids is that the King’s Kids values are more focused on a younger age category (kids and teenagers).
There are six main principles which have a number of sub-principles. The six main principles are:
- Getting to know God intimately and bring Him joy.
- Discipleship training within the context of daily living.
- The destination and the spiritual capacity of children, pre-teenagers and teenagers.
- The importance of the family and the linking of generations.
- Team leadership and devoted partnerships.
- Making Jesus know to all people.
Activities
King’s Kids organises a lot of activities through the whole year for young people who are willing to get to know God better and make Him known. We train people and go out to different places in Holland, Europe and outside of Europe. Most activities are for people with the age of 12 to 18. When you’re 18+, you’re staff.
Through the year we run “yearround teams” and worship concerts. The Yearround team is combined with the “Tour Intensive” that takes place around Easter. In the summer there are mission trips: the Summertours and the Boomerangtours. In June there’s a King’s Kids Festival to close off the season with all the yearround teams from the different locations.

For who?
As King’s Kids Heerde we believe that God wants to make Himself known through the generations (Ps. 78:5-6). And we believe that kids get to know God in their family. In such a time as this the young generation need to face a lot through school, on the street, media etc. Unfortunately we see more broken families these days and we see how necessary it is to equip and empower the generations to live a radical life for God. Our desire is to see more healthy families come into existence where the character of God is reflected.
Mostly teenagers are involved in our activities but we also see a growing number of couples and families in our activities. We would love to see more generations represented in our activities. Because that’s what makes the King’s Kids ministry unique: Not a ministry just for youth but for all generations. So that God’s character will be seen through our teams.
We train young people from the bible so that their personal relationship with God and their identity in God will grow. People in our teams are between the age of 12 to 18 who are willing to be radical for Jesus and have a passion for dance, mime or music and want to worship God through their lifestyle. Young people who are not afraid to take steps in faith and show others what they believe. For people with the age of 18 and older we offer the challenge to be part of the team as staff. Coaching and supporting young people and growing in your personal relationship with God at the same time.
Meet the Staff

Christiaan - Leader
I am a true outdoor fanatic. I love spending time in the forest discovering more of God's signature in His creation. But even more, being in the outdoor help me develop a lifestyle of adventure and stepping out in faith. My adventure at Heidebeek started in 2010 when I joined King's Kids. I enjoy spending time with our young people and taking them on adventures. And fried chicken.
