In Short
God calls some of us to Go, and others to support those who Go. In order to serve as full-time in YWAM we each need to form a team of ministry partners who believe in the vision God has given us to reach the nations.
This training will help you understand:
- the Biblical foundation,
- the spiritual nature of living on support,
- the obstacles and how to overcome them,
- how to communicate the vision,
- and how to invite others to get involved through financial support.
Vision
Vision for Multiplying Trainers
As I sat and listened to Loren Cunningham at the Festival of the Nations in Herrnhut, Germany in 2007, I heard God confirm something in my heart…

First group of trainers, June 2010
My own experience for the first 20 years of our now 28 years of living on support was a great lack of confidence. This was because I didn’t understand the biblical foundation for this lifestyle. I also was ignorant of my own wrong ideas about money and the spiritual nature of partnering to create something that brings life to others.
I have seen how learning these things can give you a completely different perspective and even excitement to invite people to join you in ministry through financial support. I’m convinced that if many more of us were imparting this biblical understanding combined with practical skills in communicating, many more people would be going out to change the world!

For whom?
Who is the training for?

Training a Dutch organization, St. Gave
In the first place, I was motivated to develop this training for our own YWAM Heidebeek staff. As I continued to develop it I realized that there wasn’t much training available in Holland for people wanting to join a ministry that required raising your own support. So I opened it up to anyone in Holland that wanted to join in.
Then I discovered that there is not much training in YWAM in Europe, so now I’ve advertised and made it available to anyone in Europe who would like to be trained.
Recently I have begun to focus on multiplying trainers in friendraising because there is such a lack of it. See the page called Vision for Multiplying Trainers to read more about that.
Meet the Staff

Terry - Staff
I've now lived longer in Holland (30 years) than in the U.S. (27 years)! This year we're celebrating 30 years of marriage and missions. My favorite thing in the world that makes me happy is if I can encourage someone - in any way. The last ten years I've become passionate about changing people's perspective about raising support by teaching the biblical/spiritual foundation.
