About

staff days 035Missionaries often encounter much pressure, find themselves challenged by constant transition, and need to continue developing their skills, character, and relationship with God. It is important that we provide care and input for our own staff.

Within the Staff Care and Development department are people available and willing to provide counsel (Pastoral Team), development input (SCAD team), and a listening ear.

Mentoring: We also advocate mentoring at Heidebeek.  Each staff member (or staff couple) is encouraged to find a mentor or prayer partner for accountability and growth, both personal and spiritual.  Staff members that are seeking a mentor and those that would like to mentor others can contact the SCAD team.

Small Groups: Small groups are also a place to grow, enjoy fellowship, and pursue specific areas. All staff members are involved in small groups during staff time monthly. Other small groups may be available throughout the year. The SCAD leader can inform you about current Small Groups.

Support-raising support: One aspect of the calling to YWAM Heidebeek is the development of a support team.
