Nineteen families and a lot of staff (also with children) took the ground on the camping side of Heidebeek. Together they went through (another) special Family Camp. The family camp wants to be a week of relaxation and growth for the whole family, and that’s exactly what it is!
Young and old were busy with the theme: What’s your inheritance? What was introduced by the adults in the morning and evening was been spoken through in the small groups which came together in the second part of the morning.
Of course you’ll do all kind of things together as a family in such a week. Especially during the ‘outdoorday’ you could not escape from this. Families were challenged to do all kinds of practical assignments as a team together. This can give you a surprising view on how you treat each other in ‘the daily life’…
Families, especially parents, were challenged to set up a testament/will. Cause what do you really want to pass on to your children? With the dedication of these wills people closed off in their small groups. But the real closure was of course the barbeque.
Another reaction? One more: “The being together (…) we really enjoyed. No fuss about (…) but being together in Christ.”
