Miranda Tollenaar

I have grown up in a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) family since I was 13. My parents' work and my pioneering role in King's Kids The Netherlands (1990) have been a huge influence in my life, in the way I see God and in the way I look at the world. In 2001 I moved to Arnhem in order to live closer to my college/university: Social Academy (BA) where I graduated in 2004. In 2005 I was able to buy a cute, little, historic house in this same city. In january 2009 my music management business called 'Happy Day Productions' was officially registered. Inside Out was born in 2000 (www.insideoutmusic.org) and GospelFlavor in 2008 (www.gospelflavor.nl). For both teams I have done their vision/management strategy since their start, together with 2 outstanding teams. In 2008 I developed an interest for human rights. This lead in 2009 to a new YWAM initiative which I work for 3 days a week: Girl Alert (www.girlalert.org). Girl Alert works, in cooperation with other NGO's on innovative proposals to improve the lifes of girls in developing countries and shares these ideas with society and key politicians. From 2009/2010 I will be part of the 3rd Chamber which seems to be taylor made, training me in this area. Besided Girl Alert, I organize YWAM Heidebeek's monthly meetings called the Happening. I have done this since 2005 and will be organizing my last one in June. Currently I am also looking into the possibilities of facilitating an optical and dental outreach in Indonesia. For this reason in March I will join an advance team to the Indonesian islands: Java, Sulawesi and Muluku.My future dream is to see the teams I work with, function at a God and human loving, professional, strategic and international level. Besided that, I would love to create a place (in or outside The Netherlands) where everyone feels welcome. People working on 'the field' as well as children that, because of their family situation, would be blessed by a new home (for expl through adoption). I would love my kitchen table - once I have it :) - to be the favorite furniture piece in our/my house. This would be the place where we would laugh and be serious, chat, eat and have fun. I hope soon I can/will be a great blessing to a wonderful, good-looking : ) husband. I am looking forward to see what the future holds: the best is yet to come!
