I'm married to Jantien, have a beautiful daughter (september 2010) who goes by the name Anouk, am originally from Stiens (Friesland) and was born in the good year of 1983. I love studying and reading, playing the guitar and doing some sports. I did my DTS in September 2001, my SBS a year later, staffed a DTS in 2004 and became fulltime and fully committed Heidebeek staff in August 2004, involved primarily with the Biblical Studies Department. My passion is to learn and teach to listen to God's Word as He has given it to us. As we become faithful and informed listeners, we can become effective and relevant doers of the Word!

It’s Okay to Expect a Miracle: interview with Dr. Craig S. Keener by Christianity Today. In my opinion it offers some sane, open, fair thoughts about miracles. Why are they denied? Why can they be believed [...]

  • Hi Johannes! It is I,…. Samira :) Thanks for the invite to do the SBOL. I have already applied.

I’m glad you feel the same way about the SBOL too, it tells me that you are walking in your calling, that is a wonderful thing, praise God!

I believe the Lord has put it on my heart to do the SBOL. I’m exited about it! How awesome it would be to be in Greece again, to walk were Paul walked and to study the word of God!

May Our Lord bless you and provide you with all the wisdom that you need as you follow Him in your calling, in leadership, teaching His word.

I guess I will be seeing you soon :) Groetjes en Zegen!

    Samira

  • Hi Johannes,

My family and I will be coming to attend the Spring DTS in March. She is a YWAMer already and by the end of the DTS I will be too. Have been spending time on the site to make friends, why wait until we get there!!

Talk to you soon and have a great evening.

  • Hey Johannes, Nice quote! Enjoy the weekend… and live life to the full!

  • Yeah, another community – scheelt hopelijk uitvallende telefoongesprekken in de metro ;-)

    Tot snel!

  • Well, the more groups, the more chance of fame:-) Thanks!

  • I’d say you’d definitely would be a nominee for The MGA’s. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s the member of Most Groups Award, if it existed.

  • Here’s one of the greatest things I’ve ever read: ”The ultimate task, and now I repeat myself, is the Spiritual one, to hear the text in such a way that it leads the reader/hearer into the worship of God and into conformity to God and his ways.”

Gordon D. Fee in Listening to the Spirit in the Text

That’s the reason I’m in the Biblical Studies Department here!
