Yes! We recorded a CD. The title is: ‘You Are’. Johnny Meijerink, one of the worship leaders at Heidebeek, and his band recorded this CD and 1 song is recorded with all the Heidebeek staff and students. The proceeds of the CD will go to the new building plans of Heidebeek.
The goals of Youth with a Mission (YWAM) is: ‘to know God and make Him known’. This is also where this CD is all about. Knowing God and honour Him for who He is and what comes out of this is that we make Him known. Johnny says: I found out that my revelation of who God is, is still very small. And that my prayer should be: ‘Lord, let me get to know You’. A lot is flowing out from that; for example that I start to love what He loves. That’s also where the CD is all about; ‘Who is God?’ ‘My desire for this CD is that people are getting closer to God with it and that they are going to discover who He really is. And that people start living for His glory’.
The CD is made in cooperation with Wilkin de Vlieger, producer of Gerald Troost, Inside Out and more. The songs are known songs but also some unknown songs. Such as: ‘Wonderful Saviour’ and ‘Still’. The CD is in musical ways between Hillsong, Israel Hougton and gospel.
